Lilith and Her Demons adapts a collection of poems of the same name, by Enid Dame, into lyrics for a new song cycle. This piece explores how Lilith takes shape in women of all kinds today.
She works in New Jersey
Finds herself in an abortion clinic
And at a tenants' rights rally
And in a Brooklyn dairy restaurant
And by the Red Sea
Lilith and Her Demons was first workshopped in the 2019 Philly Free Fringe as a five day developmental lab experience. This ended in an invitation to the public to come witness our work at the close of day five. This continues to be rich material that we are eager to explore, and we hope to hold another workshop in the Spring of 2020 to take the next steps toward a fully formed piece. Should you be interested in this work, feel free to reach out via email! We aren't yet making casting decisions for the next iteration of Lilith and Her Demons, but we'd be happy to keep your materials on file for consideration.
